If you enjoyed most of the game though, DOS2 is almost universally thought of as better. So long since I played DOS1 I can't recall what your referring to now. Originally posted by Nasarog:I got to the last dungeon in Div 1, and had to quit. I certainly don't think this will any kind of cheap cash grab irrespective of whether they pull it off or not.
I think they are going to spend the bank they've made from DOS2 on shooting for near CDPR level production values and Witcher level authenticity. A significantly upgraded version of the DOS engine or a complete rewrite of it.Ī reason I am somewhat optimistic about it is that since going self publish Larian have bet the farm on DOS1 and then again on DOS2 and have come with triumphs way beyond what could be expected from a studio of their size (although they expanded from 40 to 200 staff for DOS2). Either this or another existing Baldur's Gate PnP moduleģ. My long shot bet for now is a game based on:Ģ. I guess making Baldur's Gate 3 amounts to about the same thing as producing a new significantly edited version of the Bible of the Quran or something, visions of crowds enjoying the rich odours of heretics burning in the afternoon sunshine etc.įor my part I really don't know what to expect. There's already a 250 post thread on the Pathfinder: Kingmaker board about this, lol.
